A BRIEF HISTORY OF N.M.S. ZARIA.
The NIGERIAN
MILITARY SCHOOL Was established by the Colonial Masters on the 20th
of May, 1954. It was then Known as the Boys' Company and the purpose of
this Institution was to produce semi-skilled Manpower for the
NIGERIAN ARMY and the first set of students were Children of Army
Officers (both serving and retired) and they were 30 in Number. The Name
of the School was later Change to the NIGERIAN MILITARY SCHOOL.
The School has continued to live up to
expectation of the Nigerian Army and indeed the general MILITARY
and CIVIL Society.
